ACI Jet just leveled up our Authorized Service Facility in San Luis Obispo by adding two major pieces of kit: new Global 7500 Jack Stands and a slick External Ballast Box. When your Global 7500 needs a lift, we’re ready. We snagged a set of Tronair Aircraft Ground Support Equipment Jack Stands straight from Bombardier, accompanied by the appropriate tail stand to complete the set. This isn't just about showing off; this gear is absolutely crucial for Global 7500 owners and operators. Whether it’s routine checks, a quick tire change, a gear swing, line maintenance, or those heavy 36-Month task items, these stands are required equipment and make everything run smoothly.
These stands are critical for our Aircraft on Ground (AOG) support services, and we can mobilize them across the entire West Coast via ACI Jet’s mobile maintenance services. If you’ve dealt with major nose fuselage work, you know the drill: canvas bags filled with lead shot get hauled into your pristine cabin to balance the weight. It’s potentially messy, it’s slow, and it carries the risk of damaging your interior and flooring.
Enter the 5,000-lb Ballast Weight Assembly Nose Fuselage from Campbell Fabrication & Tooling (CFT). This external ballast box eliminates the interior hazard entirely! It allows us to safely and efficiently tackle larger maintenance projects, aircraft modifications, and defueling operations, all while maintaining proper weight and balance.
Currently, this bad boy is making maintenance dreams come true only at our San Luis Obispo Repair Station (SBP). But we're already discussing the logistics of making this equipment available for our mobile AOG services. Stay tuned!
